I grew up in Washington State and in the restaurant business, of which my parents owned three. I always said I would never work in the business and then ended up working at a bar and grill, F Street Station in Anchorage, for four years. I then followed my parents to Missoula and got a job as a Wine Steward for Safeway. I learned an immense amount about the Wine Industry. George's was one of my vendors while I worked there, and I loved the company and how well it did business. When they were hiring for sales reps, I quickly put in my resume. The rest is history. George's asked me to work for them in Billings, a town I had never been to, and I was up for the challenge. Honestly, it was one of the best moves I have ever made.
I love doing yoga, hanging out with my friends, traveling, and mostly, my mini dachshund, Bella. Wine is a great passion of mine, and I look forward to learning new things about it and this amazing industry everyday.

I grew up in Fort Benton, Montana and after graduating high school pursued my passion for computers by attending Devry University in Phoenix to pursue a degree in computer engineering. After several years in the computer industry I found that this was more a hobby than a true passion. After having an enchanting meal I found myself working part time in a fine dining kitchen trying to learn the secrets of cooking such a fantastic meal. The more I learned the hungrier I become to learn more, I moved up quickly and soon found myself at a turning point either cook full time or do computers. At this point I switched careers and was promoted to Sous Chef, the hunger still grew and after a number of years I looked for promotion again and took a position as Executive Chef. The chef hours and time away from my family eventually grew too taxing to maintain and I looked to further my career in food and knowledge as a chef in an area I never had the opportunity to learn about, at which point I contacted George's Distributing and am now happily learning about beverages and how to further enhance food through wine.

Some things you might not know about me that got me where I am today:
I was a buyer for cheese distributor in Portland I lived in Belgium, Spain, and Austria-teaching English, and doing a stage at the European Parliament (and speak French, German & Spanish...although not as well anymore) Have traveled to Asia, Europe, Africa, and throughout Mexico My intro to the wine business was opening an urban winery tasting room in Portland I collect scarves, beads, and beer coasters My great great grandfather was the first settler in Columbia Falls and my grandfather was a park naturalist in Glacier, who named many of the trails up there. The baby in this picture is my great grandpa Dan. http://www.columbiafallschamber.org/murals/ My favorite sweet is anything lemon-y, and the stroopwafel (little skinny waffle/cookie with caramel inside) I've been in every US state except 3 and have been in most wine shops and high end restaurants in each major market. (One of my favorite parts of the last job...eating and drinking perks!) My favorite wine other than bubbles is still pinot noir
